MAA

Mukhalif waqt or her badguma ko rook rakha hai,

otarti he nahi is leye mujh per koi bhi afat,
meri maa ki dowa nay aasma ko rook rakhah hai

After Allah and his Messenger , the most beloved and respected person to a Muslim should be his MOTHER!
Allah has given the mother such status that He says,

“ Paradise lies under the feet of mothers.”

Paradise lies under the feet of mothers.”

Obedience and respect towards your mother is a very important duty in Islam and is similar to performing Salaah and keeping fast. To hurt your mother in any way is the second biggest sin and those who commit this evil sin will be harshly punished by Allah in the hereafter or maybe even in this world!

Your mother is not a Prophet, nor is she an angel; she’s just a human like you and I, so why has Allah ordered you to be obedient towards your mother and why does your mother have such a high status in Islam?

Allah loves and cares for us more than anybody else, and he especially loves those people who love and care for others. Similarly, he becomes very angry with those people who hurt other people in any way. Allah the All-Knowing, knows that in this world nobody is more loving and caring towards another person than the way that a mother is towards her child. Only Allah and his Messenger love you more than your mother!

Only Allah knows what your mother does for you, He sees your mother feeling pain whilst she tries to give you whatever you want. He sees your mother’s love and kindness. Pleased by your mother’s actions, Allah has given her a very high status and many virtues and rewards.

Allah also sees that many of us are not thankful to our mothers. He sees many of us being disobedient towards them. Therefore, Allah has ordered us to be good towards our mothers; he has not advised us but ordered us; we have no choice; therefore we have to be good towards our mothers! To encourage us to do this, Allah Taa’la has promised paradise for those of us who are obedient towards our mothers. At the same time, Allah has threatened to severely punish those of us who do not listen to our mothers or hurt them in any way.

But what does your Mother do for you? She only cooks and cleans! So why do you need to be thankful to your Mother?

Apart from Allah, nobody knows what our Mother really does for us.

TEN REASONS FOR BEING THANKFUL TO YOUR MOTHER:

1. YOUR MOTHER CARRIED YOU IN HER STOMACH FOR 9 MONTHS BEARING PAIN UPON PAIN!

2. DURING THIS TIME, SHE COULD NOT EAT BECAUSE OF YOU! SHE COULD NOT SLEEP BECAUSE OF YOU!

3. WHEN YOU WERE A BABY; SHE SPENT EVERY MINUTE OF HER LIFE LOOKING AFTER YOU!

4. SHE ONLY SLEPT WHEN YOU SLEPT! SHE ONLY ATE AFTER YOU HAD EATEN!

5. SHE WAS PATIENT AND LOVED YOU EVEN WHEN YOU CRIED ALL NIGHT, AND WHEN YOU CRIED ALL DAY!

6. SHE TAUGHT YOU HOW TO WALK, HOW TO SPEAK, HOW TO EAT, SHE TAUGHT YOU HOW TO LIVE!

7. WHEN YOU FALL ILL, SHE LOOKS AFTER YOU!

8. SHE ALWAYS COOKS AND PREPARES FOOD FOR YOU!

9. SHE BUYS YOU WHATEVER YOU ASK FOR!

10. SHE WILL ALWAYS LOVE YOU, NO MATTER WHAT YOU DO!

These are just a few things that our Mothers do for us; they do so much more of which we do not know about. However, one thing that your Mother does for you, that nobody else in the world does, is that she worries about you from the bottom of her Heart.

SO WHAT IS IT SHE WORRIES ABOUT?

SHE WORRIES ABOUT YOUR FOOD!

SHE WORRIES ABOUT YOUR CLOTHES!

SHE WORRIES ABOUT YOUR HEALTH!

SHE WORRIES ABOUT YOUR EDUCATION!

SHE WORRIES ABOUT YOUR FUTURE!

SHE WORRIES ABOUT YOUR WHOLE LIFE!

Allah has ordered us, in various places of the Holy Qur’an, to be good to our mothers. He has told us to look after them even more when they are old and weak. He has taught us to be gentle to our mothers and speak to them in a nice manner. He has also told us to supplicate to Him for our Mothers with this prayer,

RABBIR-HAMHUMA KAMA RABBAYANI SAGHEERAH.”

(MY LORD HAVE MERCY UPON MY PARENTS; THE WAY THEY HAD MERCY UPON ME WHEN I WAS YOUNG).

The Prophet  has also ordered us to be good to our mothers. He has told us about the great rewards for that person who is good to his mother. He has described the mother as being a ‘door of paradise.’ He has also warned us of severe punishments for that person who is disobedient to his mother.

TEN EASY WAYS TO ENTER PARADISE

1. LISTEN TO YOUR MOTHER

2. HELP YOUR MOTHER

3. SMILE AT YOUR MOTHER

4. BE THANKFUL TO YOUR MOTHER FOR WHATEVER SHE DOES FOR YOU

5. SPEND TIME WITH YOUR MOTHER

6. ALWAYS ASK YOUR MOTHER IF YOU CAN HELP HER WITH ANYTHING

7. BUY YOUR MOTHER GIFTS

8. BE GOOD TO YOUR MOTHER’S FAMILY AND FRIENDS

9. STUDY HARD AND LEAD A GOOD LIFE SO THAT YOUR MOTHER IS HAPPY

10. ALWAYS PRAY FOR YOUR MOTHER, ESPECIALLY AFTER EVERY SALAAH.

WARNING: THOSE WHO ARE DISOBEDIENT TO THEIR MOTHER WILL BURN IN THE FIRE OF HELL!

However hard we try, we can never repay our mothers for what they have done for us, but we can at least try, and also ask Allah to repay them for us. Our mothers are indeed a great blessing from Allah. We should appreciate and value this blessing as much as we can. Whilst our mothers are alive, we have a golden opportunity to guarantee ourselves paradise and also success in this world.

REMINDER: We will only truly realize the value of our mothers when they are no longer with us – when they have passed away, but then it will be too late!

Mum.

Mum you've always been there for me

Ever since I was so little,

To help, Love me, and take care of me

When I was so small and brittle.

Mum you did many things for me on your own

But never once did I hear you complain

Never once did I hear you moan!

Mum you always put food on the table

Every single day of the year,

You've always put our needs first,

You definitely are so dear.

Whenever I needed something

You were always there to provide,

And whatever life threw your way

You just took it in your stride.

Mum I'm so grateful to have you

Who could ask for a better mum,

I just hope I haven't let you down

And that you're proud of what I've become.

Mum forgive me for all the pain I've caused

I was ignorant and didn't see,

That everything you did,

You only did it for me.

I can't imagine my life without you

And I wish I could relive everyday.

So that I could give you all the love you

Deserve, and to be grateful in every way.

Mum I owe so much to you and

It is a debt I'll never be able to repay.

But I promise to do all that I can for you

Forever and everyday.

Mum you are so special to me

You are my shining star,

And no other mum comes close to you

Because you are the best mum in the

World by far!!!!!!!

WALDAIN

 Be good to your Parents

“And your lord has ordered that you worship none but him, and that you be dutiful to your parents. If one of them or both of them attain old age in your life, say not to them a word of disrespect, nor shout at them a word but address them in terms of honour.”

“And lower unto them the wing of submission and humility through mercy, and say: “My lord! Bestow on them your mercy as they did bring me up when I was young.” (Part 15: Surah 17 Al-Isra)

The most striking opening of an ayat, which starts with the obedience of Allah Taa'la and thereafter to be dutiful to your parents. This verse is clearly indicating towards the importance of obedience to the parents and fulfilling the orders laid by the lord of the universe himself.

Through the light of the Hadith, we will learn the importance of being righteous and obedience to our parents and the punishments of disobeying the command of Allah Taa'la.

Hazrat Muhammad Mustufa (S.W.A) has said:

Hazrat Muhammad Mustufa (S.W.A) has said:

“The pleasure of the lord is the pleasure of a parent, and the wrath of the lord is the wrath of a parent.”

It is clear from this Hadith that to keep Allah Taa'la happy,
it is necessary that our parents are happy with us.

Hazrat Muhammad Mustufa (S.W.A) has said:

MAA KI AZMAT;
"Jab madina main ISLAM aam ho chuka, to NABi (SAW) ne farmaya:
"AGAR AAJ MERI MAA ZINDA HOTI, MAIN NAMAZ-E-ISHAA MAIN KHARA HOTA,
OR MERI MAA HUJRAY SAY MUJHE AWAZ DETI,
O'Muhammad (SAW).!
TO KHUDA KI KASAM, MAIN FARZ NAMAZ CHOR KAR DORRTA HUA JATA, OR MAA K QADMON MAIN GIR JATA"

Hazrat Muhammad Mustufa (S.W.A) has said:

Aap ("S-A-W-W") Ne Farmaya Jis Ne Apni "MAA" K Paon Ko Choma..? Us Ne "KABE" Ki Dehliz Ko Chooma

Maa Khatoon-E-Jannat (S.W.A)

And (Allah made) the kindness to parents as a protectional (shield) to His wrath and displeasure. (MAA KHATOON-E-JANNAT)

Hazrat Khwaja Gharib Nawaz Wrote in Ganj-e-Israr

According to seekers of God, to see five things is a worship, even these things are seen separately.

       (a)    To see parents

       (b)    To see Quran Majid

       (c)    To see Ulema-e-Rabbani

       (d)    To see Khana-e-Ka'aba

       (e)    To see Quran Majid

SPEAKING GENTLY WITH ONE'S PARENTS.

In a Hadith, which I will quote briefly:

Taysalah ibn Mayyas said, “I did certain things that I can only consider as major sins. When I mentioned this to ibn Umar, he asked me what I had done, and he said that those are not major sins. Rather, he said “The major sins which are nine in number”. One of the nine that ibn Umar mentioned was causing ones parents to shed tears because of ones disobedience. Then ibn Umar said to Taysalah ibn Mayyas, “Do you fear the fire and desire to go to paradise?” Taysalah ibn Mayyas replied, “Yes, by Allah Taa'la!” he said. “Are your parents still alive?” I replied “Only my mother.” He replied, “By Allah, if you speak with her gently and give her food to eat, you will surely enter paradise if you avoid these major sins.”

BEING GOOD TO ONES PARENTS

Abu Huraira  reported that once Hazrat Muhammad Mustufa (S.W.A) has said: One man was asked to whom one should be good to. He replied, “Your mother.” He was asked the same question a second time, and he replied, “Your mother.” He was asked the same question a third time and he replied,” Your mother.” He was asked the same question a fourth time and he replied,” Your father.”

DOING GOOD TO ONES PARENTS EVEN IF THEY ARE UNJUST .

Ibn Abbas said, “Any Muslim whose father and mother are Muslims and who wakes every morning with the intention of doing right by them will have two doors opened for him/her in paradise by Allah Taa'la. If only one parent is alive, then one door (will be opened). If he/she angers a parent, Allah Taa'la will not be pleased with him/her. Then the Prophet was asked, “What if one's parents are unjust to him/her?” He answered, “Even if they are unjust (one must act good to please ones parents)”.

THE REWARD FOR PARENTS

Abdullah ibn Amr said, “A man went to the Prophet to pledge his allegiance to him for the coming (from Makkah to Madinah). However, he left his parents crying. The Prophet  told him “Go back to them and make them as happy as you have made them sad”.

This man had come to the Prophet to take an oath of allegiance on him on migrating; his intentions were auspicious and virtuous deeds. However, his parents did not agree to his separation, as migrating was not compulsory at that time. They became restless on the prospect of his journey and wept in sadness. When the Prophet  learnt of this, he instructed the man to return to his parents and make them laugh just as he had made them weep.

This indicates the merit and significance of kindness to love ones parents and being a sin to do something which causes sadness to parents and makes them weep. It is virtuous and rewarding to do what makes them happy and laugh.

Hazarat Mu'adh  reported that the prophet  said “good news to those who are good to their parents, good will increase the length of their lives “.

THE PRAYERS OF PARENTS

Abu Ja'far heard Abu Huraira  say that the Prophet  said, “There is no doubt that three kinds of prayers will be answered, the prayer of the oppressed, the prayer of the traveller, and the prayers of the parents for their children”.

Prayers of parents for their children will be accepted immediately whether it is a prayer in the favour of the children or against the children, so we must do our up most best to keep our parents happy.

Certain people have included among whose supplication is definitely granted are those who treat their parents kindly.

Sayyidina Uwais al Qarni (Rahmatullahi Alayhi) was a resident of Yemen . The Holy Prophet  called him the best of Tabieen (successors) and he said, “Get him to pray for your forgiveness”. He had embraced Islam at the time of the Prophet Sallallahu Alayhi Wassallam but he could not present himself before the Prophet  because he looked after his mother and thus remained deprived of the honour of companionship. It is clear from the conduct of Sayyidina Uwais Qarni, that to be good and mindful to parents is a very high ranking deed.

The Prophet  said, “Uwais has his mother. He has treated her kindly. If Uwais claims (anything) on Allah Taa'la then Allah Taa'la will surely let him have what he claims”.
