Khwaja Qutbuddin Bakhtiar Kaki was a mureef of Khwaja Syed Moinuddin Chishy, saint and scholar in the Chishty Order from Delhi, India. He is the disciple and khalifa (spiritual successor) of Khwaja Syed Moinuddin Chishty as head of the Chishty Order. His most famous disciple and spiritual teacher was Baba Fareed. The Mazaar Sharif [noble tomb] of Hazrat Khwaja Qutbuddin Bakhityar Kaki r.a. lies near Qutub Minar at old Delhi, India.

Hadrat Sabir Paak (alaihir rahmah) only had one mureed, Hadrat Khwaja Shamsuddin Turk (alaihir rahmah), upon whom he bestowed with Khilafat in the Chistiya Sabiri Silsila. Hadrat Sabir Paak (alaihir rahmah) passed away on the 13th of Rabi-ul-Awwal. The Ghusal and other the other religious rites were performed automatically without the body being touched.

When Hadrat Shamsuddin (alaihir rahmah) spread his musalla (prayer mat) for the Janazah Salaah, a man stopped him with a veil over his face that took the place of the Imam and performed the Janazah Salaah. When Hadrat Shamsuddin (alaihir rahmah) turned his face to make the "Salaams" he was wonder-struck to see the multitude of Awliya Allah, Rijaals, Abdaals, etc. who had attended the historic Janazah Namaaz of his Peer. When Hadrat Shamsuddin (alaihir rahmah) enquired about the Imam's name and identity, the man pulled off the veil and said, "The Janazah of the faqeer is read by the faqeer himself." Hadrat Shamsuddin (alaihir rahmah) collapsed when he saw that it was none other than Hadrat Sabir Paak (alaihir rahmah) himself!

A delegation of zayreens (pilgrims) from Pakistan arrived here today to participate in the 796th urs of Sufi Saint Khwaja Moinuddin Hasan Chisti at the durgah sharif. The delegation comprising about 500 pilgrims reached here via Delhi by the Shatabdi Express this afternoon. Meanwhile, pilgrims from different parts of country continued to throng the durgah to pay obeisance at the memorial of the sufi saint.
